Our house is designed with holidays in mind - comfortable and relaxing - otherwise it wouldn't be a holiday would it?
Le Salon - the living room is the very first room you will walk into with original beams and a fireplace big enough to stand up in with the central focus of the wood-burner great for cosy winter nights. There are 2 comfortable sofas and plenty to entertain - TV with Freesat and video, Nintendo Wii with 2 controllers and games (English so you can bring your own), lots of games, puzzles and a few books to enjoy.
La Cuisine - the kitchen is the heart of our house - a gorgeous farmhouse dining table seats 6 and makes for hearty breakfast, long lunches and delicious dinners. With all the facilities required - fridge, microwave, dishwasher, bread-maker, hob and oven, microwave, slow cooker, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The old wooden stairs lead to the first floor landing.
The Bird Room - Bedroom 1 - decorated in pale greens, a relaxing room with double bed, original beams with stone wall features, wooden floor, ornate furniture and lovely linens.
The White Room - Bedroom 2 - as it sounds - with a spacious, crisp, clean feel this room is very pretty and looks over onto the garden and the cherry tree - with double bed and pretty feature chest of drawers, original beams and stone wall features.
La Salle de Bains - the bathroom offers a bath with shower over, and vanity unit - the WC is separate.
There is a walk-in airing cupboard on the landing, storing wash basket, clothes maiden, iron & ironing board with shelving for luggage and extra storage space.
Bedroom 3 & 4 - Through the little white wooden landing door there is a flight of original stairs up to the grenier. There are two large double bedrooms both carpeted, with a double bed in each and a sofa bed/settee in each creating an airy and spacious sleeping area - one of the rooms has a TV and DVD player.
Le Jardin - The Garden is accessed directly opposite the front door through the little gate - its very French - no manicured lawns here just a great space to enjoy the sun, BBQ, sit, read and enjoy a bottle of red as the sun goes down and the stars come out! There is an eight foot trampoline and a whole set of outdoor dining furniture is available.
The house is fully oil central heated for comfort with a separate water heater for the summer months and plenty of logs for the woodburner.
Sorry - we can't accept pets as the neighbours have too much livestock & smoking is not permitted in the house - we don't have rules just guidelines.
